Taliban claim attacks in Afghan capital, Kabul
The Taliban has attacked targets in different parts of Afghanistan capital, Kabul, killing at least 16 people and dozens wounded.
The interior minister who confirmed the incident said
Shortly after, a suicide bomber blew himself up at the gates of an Afghan intelligence agency branch in eastern Kabul another attacker was gunned down while forcing to entry into the compound.
Meanwhile the Afghan security forces are battling a resurgent Taliban amid record casualties and mass desertions, as the fighters increase nationwide attacks even in winter months, when the fighting usually wanes.
It is worth noting that repeated bids to launch peace negotiations with the Taliban have failed.
