N.S.R.D.A notifies Nigerians of imminent solar eclipse
The National Space
Research and Development Agency says there will be a partial solar eclipse on
Sunday the 25th of February 2017.
A statement made by the
agency’s Head of Media and Corporate Communications, Dr. Felix Ale, reveals that
the eclipse would be visible across the country, with different degrees of
totality adding that there is no cause for alarm.
The statement also
revealed that the highest degree of obscurity during the natural occurrence
would be observed in the southern part of the country, particularly in Port
Harcourt, Uyo and Calabar, where it is expected to have about 33 per cent
obscurity... while the lowest degree would be about nine per cent in the
Northern part of the country, particularly Kebbi State.
