Niger Tornadoes leading scorer fit against next match.
Niger
Tornadoes leading scorer, Chidebere Ajoku has been certified fit by the club’s
medics for the top-flight clash against former champions, Enyimba.
The
Ikoh Alla Boys will host the People’s Elephant in Sunday’s Nigeria Professional
Football League (NPFL) matchday 8 clash at adopted ground the Confluence Stadium
in Lokoja.
Chidebere
Ajoku was substituted by his teammate at Heartland, Hamzat Owolabi in the
second half after receiving a knock from Remo Stars defenders in Tornadoes 1-0
away win in NPFL matchday 7 clashes at the Gateway International Stadium in
Sagamu.
An
official of the Minna outfit medical department, mr Yakubu Abdullahi said that Ajoku is fit to
play as there is nothing to worry about as the knock is quite minor.
Mr yakubu
added that precaution needed to be taken which was why the technical crew
substituted Ajoku considering that they have crucial encounters ahead against
Enyimba in week 8 and the table topping side, Plateau United in week 9.
Tornadoes
are 10th on the 20-team top-flight log seven points behind league leaders,
Plateau United.
