Niger State Government to pay W.A.E.C fees of best Performing Student
The Niger state government says it will continue the payment of West African Senior School Certificate Examination fees, for best performing students in the state.
Disclosing this to
newsmen in Minna, the Commissioner for Education, Hajiya Fatima Madugu stated
that the payment of examination fees would henceforth be based on the criterion
that only the best performing students would be selected as beneficiaries.
The commissioner who
further explained that only students, who pass the secondary school final
examinations with six credits, including Mathematics and English language,
would henceforth be paid for,…added that the development aims at encouraging other
students to improve on their performances.
She also noted that the
state government gives utmost priority to education so as to produce quality
people for the state.
