Buruji kashamu pushed to the US on Drug Charges

The national drug law enforcement agency (NDLEA) says it is pushing to extradite a lawmaker Buruji Kashamu  to the United States on drugs charges.
Revealing this to newsmen the spokesman of the the N.D.L.E.A, Mitchell Ofoyeju stated that the agency has instituted a suit to remove a court order restraining the NDLEA from arresting Senator Kashamu.
This development is a follow-up of extradition proceedings opened by the U.S court of appeal in chichago as senator kashamu had in 2015, sued the US government to prevent an imminent illegal abduction in Nigeria.
It would be recalled that senator Kashamu has been wanted for years in connection with a heroin smuggling operation,.. an allegation which he denies stating that he his dead brother whom he reportedly resembles ran the international drug ring in the 1990s.

Fire razes shops in Suleja, Niger State

No fewer than five shops were razed in a fire outbreak, which occurred in Suleja, Niger State. The fire which started from a shop in the old Minna garage area of the town yesterday destroyed property worth several millions of naira. Reports say sympathisers had sent distress calls to the Niger State Fire Service but that there was no response as all its fire-fighting vehicles were not serviceable. However, an eyewitness said he suspected some chemicals were being mixed in one of the shops, which might have been responsible for the explosion that occurred.
